The Henry Ford Estate donor wall was designed as a respite for Henry Ford patrons as well as a learning space for U of M Dearborn students.
The wall signage was fabricated from 2 materials; a CorTen backing plate and stainless colored name plates. DME used two types of techniques for mounting signage to plates.
We worked with DME on a donor recognition project. The project had quite a few challenges and working with DME made for a much smoother project. DME became an integral part of the design team assisting in working through details and being flexible to work with an ever-growing list of donor names. Their expertise in working with the various finishes, materials and capabilities of fabricating guided the team to a design the client loved and was buildable within the identified budget. I would recommend DME to other design professionals as a good resource and creative partner.
